Subject: how to become a professional in life. This article was inspired by Steven Pressfields book 'Turning Pro'.
Location: Miami, Florida
What you will get out of this article: an understanding between the difference of a professional and an amateur. Also a look into the 20 qualities of a pro.
In life we have amateurs and pro's.
- An amateur is terrified and doesn't do anything when facing their fears.
- An amateur is an egotist.
- An amateur lives by the opinions of others.
- An amateur lets fear stop him from acting.
- An amateur is easily distracted.
- An amateur seeks instant gratification.
- An amateur lacks compassion for himself.
- An amateur seeks permission.
- An amateur lives in the future or the past.
- An amateur will start tomorrow.
- An amateur gives his power away to others.
"So, Daniel...tell us how to become a professional in life!?"
Don't you worry - that's exactly what we will be discussing today.
First lesson is that it doesn't cost anything. Becoming a pro = $0.00.
You don't need a course / product to understand it.
It will involve pain, hardship, sacrifice and leveling up.
It will require psychological, spiritual and emotional sacrifice.
Honestly - becoming a pro is not for everyone. Yet for the select few, that know feel their potential. Know they are destined for something greater, must heed the call.
No one is born a pro.
Everyone starts off as an amateur.
Yet, only a select few actually grow up.
See, our inner Enemy will use every trick in the book to derail you from this task.
Force you into shadow careers.
Tempt you with distractions.
Infest your mind with poisonous beliefs and limitations.
Despite all this. Despite the countless times you will be knocked on your ass. The decision will always be yours.
Stay on the ground or get the fuck back up.
The difference between an amateur and a pro is their habits
We are a creature of habits. Habits of thoughts, emotions and actions.
Your current life is a result of the habits you chose to create. (Notice how I said 'chose' as in you are responsible for what you did and will do).
The daily actions, thoughts and feelings you experience have created your life.
An amateur is unaware of this fact.
A professional is aware and consistently acts, thinks and feels in a manner that is useful to his purpose and success.
Life becomes simple when you turn pro
Black and white.
Moving you forward or pulling you backwards.
The intuition inside of your head becomes obvious.
Your destiny and purpose are clear.
The feelings associated with this are noticeable.
There are two parts in your life. When you were an amateur and after you turned pro.
Understand this:
Turning pro is a daily decision
It is not a one time moment.
The shift occurs in the moment, yes, but the price must be paid daily.
As a pro, you still experience the same temptations and distractions from your calling. Yet, you say no to them.
You defeat these demons.
You exert your will against your inner enemy.
You have compassion for yourself, when you fail and fall down.
You immediately stand the fuck back up and continue to dominate.
According the Steven Pressfield here are the...

How many qualities do you possess?
If you were to go one-by-one down the list. Rating them on a scale of 1-10. What would your score be?
See, hear me out when I say this.
You are reading this article for a reason.
Most likely, you are still an amateur. You are holding yourself back.
You are not yourself fully. You haven't committed to making the most in your life.
You still act as if this was a practice life, not a real experience.
Stop fucking around and let's get to work.
Turn pro. Show up everyday. Sacrifice what isn't serving you. Kaizen your skills and competence. Declare war within. Be unstoppable.
Let's hold each other accountable. Anything I can do to help you, let me know in the comments.
